Hear about how parents, schools and afterschool can work together to nurture a culture of attendance and ensure students do not miss learning. Be Prepared: Getting Ready for Your Child's IEP Meeting
The best way to build feelings of confidence and empowerment for families participating in IEP meetings is to ensure that they are prepared for the meeting in advance. At this session, you will learn strategies so you are ready to fully participate in your childís IEP meeting. Topics discussed will include: what to bring to the meeting, questions to prepare, and highlights from sections of the IEP. Participants will also be referred to readily available resources that can assist in the process. Being prepared for the IEP meeting will enable you to have an active voice in the development of an effective IEP for your son or daughter.
